Loan Processing Manager
Hunt Valley, MD
Eastern Savings Bank is seeking to hire a Loan Processing Manager†for our highly motivated and fast paced Lending department.†The Loan Processing Manager is responsible for promoting teamwork and providing exceptional internal and external customer service through timely, accurate and effective processing of loan applications in accordance with the Bank's lending, underwriting and valuation policies.

Some of the essential responsibilities of our Loan Processing Manager are:

* Supervise and train processing staff.
* Set the goals for and monitor performance of Loan Processors.
* Develop policies and procedures related to loan processing.
* Process, analyze and audit loans in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Audit loan package prior to submission to Underwriter and Quality Review for completeness and accuracy.
* Clear and recommend sign off on loan-related stipulations.
* Process loan application turndowns, withdrawals and incomplete files in accordance with established procedures.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the following qualifications:

* High school diploma.
* Minimum of five years of mortgage loan processing experience.
* Comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations as they apply to mortgage lending.
* Minimum of three years of supervisory or team leader experience.

We are looking for a self-starter, a person with excellent written and oral communication, supervisory, customer service, time management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate would have a knowledge of the Encompass loan origination system, be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills and the ability to manage a staff with a broad range of experience. Senior Audit Associate
Hunt Valley, MD
Eastern Savings Bank is seeking to hire a Senior Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit team in Hunt Valley, MD. The Senior Audit Associate is responsible for internal audits that assess the Bank's compliance with operating policies and procedures, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles. Some of the primary responsibilities of the Senior Audit Associate are:

* Perform audit planning and risk assessments for assigned audits;
* Develop and update audit programs;
* Conduct financial, operational, information technology, and compliance audits;
* Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal control structures; and
* Conduct interviews, review documents, and prepare audit work papers that serve as the basis for the audit findings presented.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the following qualifications:

* A Bachelorís degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related subject;
* A minimum of three years of auditing or accounting experience;
* One or more professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA), or must be actively pursuing such;
* Considerable skill with MS Office and other business software products; and
* Considerable knowledge of and skill in general auditing and accounting practices, including, but not limited to COSO, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.

Loan Officer
Hunt Valley, MD
Eastern Savings Bank is seeking to hire a Loan Officer for our highly motivated and fast paced Lending department. The Loan Officer is responsible for assisting in the development of strong wholesale and retail relationships by using good judgment and discretion, and by working in connection with other Bank Loan Officers. This individual will have an understanding of the Bank's lending, underwriting and valuation policies, all federal and state regulations and have the necessary consultative sales skills that will result in the origination of good loans that help the Bank maximize profits and grow the loan portfolio. Some of the essential responsibilities of our Loan Officer are:

* Develop and maintain business relationships that produce a diversified mix of business.
* Communicate and work with clients to develop strong business relationships that produce repeat business, and originate compliant, profitable and performing loans.
* Cold call potential clients daily/weekly to set up meetings to educate them on the products ESB offers.
* Perform sales calls on clients to develop a book of business.
* Communicate and work well with ESB's employees and vendors.
* Document each file with detailed facts that support good and sound lending decisions.
* Compile, analyze and perform due diligence as necessary to ensure that quality loans are originated while adhering to Bank policy and federal and state regulations.
* Maintain continuous and open communication with all borrowers, clients and ESB staff during each loan transaction.
* Provide weekly call sheets to the Vice President of Lending.
* Be responsible for and assist in every aspect of the loan origination process.
* Work effectively with Loan Processors, Closing Coordinators, and the Credit Administration Department.
* Develop a working knowledge of proprietary and/or purchased loan management programs, particularly the Encompass loan origination system.
* Special projects, duties and committees as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the following qualifications:

* Associate's degree.
* The minimum qualifications to be federally licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
* Minimum of two years of mortgage lending experience with a financial institution or loan sales office.
* General knowledge of state and federal regulations as they apply to mortgage lending.
* Must be able and have the means to travel within the designated sales territory.
