Eastern Savings Bank associates took time out of their busy schedules in November and December to get out to volunteer and support our communities. Our most recent community outreach included:

Junior Achievement of Central MarylandVolunteer group picture - Associates at Junior Achievement BizTown session

Members of our management team took part in volunteering at a Junior Achievement of Central Maryland BizTown session. Our associates helped local students participate in the full day experience where they learned about running a business, earning an income, managing money, and working as a community.

The Junior Achievement BizTown program is an amazing experience for both students and volunteers. We’re proud to be able to support this organization that helps teach school students valuable life skills.

Eastern Savings Bank associates spent a morning in November volunteering at Leveling the Playing Field Baltimore. Associates supported the organization by sorting, inventorying, and organizing large donations of gently used sporting equipment from the community.

Leveling the Playing Field opens its doors to local community schools, organizations, and recreation programs. Coaches and program leaders can browse the inventory and take what is needed, at no cost, to provide to their athletes in need. These donations support the opportunity for student athletes of all ages to enjoy the experience of participating in sports where equipment costs may otherwise prevent them from taking part.

This was a companion support effort from ESB Associates. In September, in conjunction with an associate tailgate event, our team helped collect new and gently used sports equipment to donate to LPF. Additionally, we donated $750 from associate fundraising contributions and Bank donations.

Associates took part in an in-house volunteer session assembling birthday kits that were donated to support the Baltimore Hunger Project.

Everyone deserves to celebrate their special day. And the best way to do so is with cake! Bank associates assembled and donated 72 Birthday Packs that BHP will provide to families in need with a special treat and a chance to make memories. These packs help bring joy to the people who receive them.

Eastern Savings Bank is a long-time supporter of the Baltimore Hunger Project and their efforts to eliminate the growing problem of weekendPhotos of group of associates building birthday kits for Baltimore Hunger Project donation childhood hunger. They work to consistently provide weekend food packages to children identified as food insecure, in a compassionate and dignified manner, bridging the gap between Friday and Monday where they do not have access to school meals.
