What to Expect During Upgrade Weekend FAQs

Yes. All Eastern Savings Bank branch offices will close early at 3pm on Friday March 7, 2025 and will remain closed on Saturday, March 8. Branch offices will reopen with regular business hours on Monday March 10, 2025.

Yes, you will be able to use your Debit Mastercard to get cash at an ATM machine or other location (subject to normal availability limits) during the upgrade weekend, however you will be unable to view your current balance at an ATM machine from Friday, March 7th around 4pm until the upgrade is complete.

Yes, you will be able to use your Debit Mastercard as normal (subject to normal availability limits) over the upgrade weekend.

All direct deposits and external incoming account transfers received by 4pm on Friday, March 7th will be posted as normal. Direct deposits and incoming transfers received after this time will be posted effective business day Monday, March 10th.

Yes. Automatic loan payments will be processed as scheduled.

Account Statements, Notices, and Communications FAQs

No. You will, however, receive two statements in March 2025. The first will be through March 7, 2025, for all activity between your last statement date and March 7th. Then on your next regularly scheduled statement date you will receive a statement covering all activity from March 8th through the statement end date. After that, your monthly statements will be the same as they were before the upgrade. Descriptions of transactions posted before the system upgrade may look different than transactions posted after the system upgrade but the content will largely remain the same.

Yes, if you prefer, you can still receive paper statements in the mail. In fact, with this upgrade you will now receive copies of your cancelled checks included with your printed statement.

Of course you can! You can enroll in eDelivery today and your enrollment will carry over to the new system. You will also be able to enroll in eDelivery anytime after the upgrade.

Enrolling in eDelivery lets you access your account statements and view account activity anytime you have an Internet connection and log into your account. With a rise in fraud related to postal mail, enrolling in eDelivery also helps you protect your accounts and saves having to shred this confidential information later.

No. You will continue to receive deposit and/or loan statements and other notices as you did before the upgrade. However, the documents you receive may look a little different as they were refreshed for easier review.

Online and Mobile Banking FAQs

No. All digital banking access will be temporarily unavailable from around 4pm on March 7th until the upgrade is complete.

No. Access to online bill pay will be temporarily unavailable from around 4pm on March 7th until the upgrade is completed. Schedule any new payments to occur before March 7th or after March 10th.

Any payments scheduled for Friday March 7th will not be processed until Monday March 10th. Existing Online Bill Payment information including payees, scheduled payments, payment history, contacts and other information will be available within the new system after March 10th.

Your user ID will not change. When you log in for the first time after the upgrade, you will enter your user ID and a temporary password. That password will be provided to you in a special communication related specifically to EasternEase Online. Once that initial login is accepted, you will be prompted to create a new password that meets the minimum criteria (Note - this may be the same as your current password if it meets the criteria). You will then be asked to accept the terms of use. After those steps are completed, you will have access to all your account information in EasternEase online.

No. Your account history will be retained in Mobile/Online Banking for the usual 90 days.

No. Mobile Deposit will be unavailable from pm Friday, March 7th until the conversion is complete.

No. If you have any transfers scheduled to occur between March 7 and March 9, reschedule those to occur either before March 7th or after March 10th, otherwise they will occur on Monday March 10th.

The EasternEase online banking system will be upgraded to a new digital product. You will have all the same functionality and more. However, please note the following:

  • If you are enrolled in eDelivery for your account statements, your statement will now be delivered in PDF format. Your check images will be attached to the end of the PDF statement. You will still be able to access copies of prior statements in eDelivery and copies of check images from prior to the upgrade by clicking on the links within your online banking system for the same retention period as before.
  • If you had any bill payments set to transact from a savings account, that will no longer be available. Please modify any existing bill payments you set up from a savings account now to avoid any payment issues.
  • You will be able to place stop payments and cancel stop payments directly in the online banking platform.
  • All bill pay and internal transfers (between Eastern Savings Bank accounts) will come over in the new system. However, any external accounts and/or external transfers that were set up will need to be reentered. Please make note of any external transfers you have set up so they can be reactivated and authenticated in the new system.
  • You will be able to set and customize different alerts for account activity and balances than before. Your existing alerts will not transition to the new system.

We are not expecting any changes in the functionality of your EasternEase Business online account. To confirm:

  • Your user ID will not change and your password will remain the same.
  • If you have any account alerts set, they will remain the same. However, this is a good time to look at your account alerts and adjust as necessary.
  • If you had bill pay or internal transfers set up, you will NOT need to reenter those. They will convert after the upgrade.
  • Historical check images will display in online banking, as you are accustomed to seeing.
